marriage contracts expiration date

Posted by khimchooo 711 days ago (Editorial)

Do you think making law for expiration of marriage contract will do any good?

I mean there are lots of people there who happens to be unhappy with their husband or wife.

Worse, there are other couples, usually the wives, being treated unfairly by their partner.

The thing is that even when they want to get out of it, they can't because of the binding contract of marriage.

But if there is an expiration date for it, then they just have to not sign the renewal of their marriage contract and let it expire to get out of the marriage safely.

And if they love each other, they just have to renew it and that's it.

What do you think about this?

That make sense too, I mean that is a good idea , but we are ruining the essence of marriage here, the "till do us part" thing, because for me marriage is a sacred ceremony and should have no expiration for that matter.

This is a very good idea! I strongly agree that is should be. The "till death do us part" thing is only being adhered because of the BELIEF of your religion, not because it is right. Therefore it shouldn't really be followed after all.

And there are many couples, specially wives who are being beaten to death by their husband and cannot escape their clutches because they are married. Obviously they made a mistake and they cannot undo it just because of their fucking religion? I don't think so.

its stupid, when you marry someone you are supposed to be agreeing and committing to them for life, not for a certain amount of time.. you can renew your vows anywaym you dont need anyone to tell you its time to redo them..

That's not a good idea because married would become just a business. If people get married, they do it for love and want to spend the rest of their lives with their chosen one. But in case things don't work fine, they should just get divorced.

Beavver, why would you even get married if you just plan to Date your wife until you get bored and move on? and catholicism allows women who are being abused or have a cheating spouse to divorce.
