1. Rinse the onion and leave it wet while chopping.
2. Do not cut off the root, or do it last, as the root of the onion has a higher concentration of enzymes.
3. Turn on your fan to redirect the gas that the onion emits when cutting it.
4. Put the unpeeled onion in the freezer for 10 minutes the onion before cutting it.
5. Cut the onion under running water.
