Once you have split ends, there really is no permanent way to stop getting them but you can prevent them.

Some products on the market would try to convince you otherwise but essentially they just provide a temporary solution by using chemicals that will bond your split ends together until your next shampoo.

The only effective way to eliminate split ends is to cut them off.
