In order to drive an LGV Class 1 Articulated Lorry, you will need a provisional LGV License and have passed a theory test.

You should then consider taking lessons before you undergo your test to obtain a full category C and C+E License.

You need the following to tests and pre-requisites to learn HGV;

You have to be 21 to drive HGV vehicles.

There are two C classes in the HGV Test program.

The first is a rigid vehicle which you need to pass before you can drive an articulated vehicle. You have to pass class C before you can take class C and E this is the artic lorry test.

The cost is roughly £1600-£1900 for both.
