Should I get a credit card ?

I'm thinking of getting a credit card is this a good option ?

From personal experience if you have a credit limit that you can manage it shouldn't become an issue.

However its good advice not to pay the minimum balance the credit card company send to you each month. It's the most profitable way for the credit card company to generate more interest on the original debt.

If you can pay off your balance entirely each month you will occur very little or next to no interest.

Getting a credit card may be a good option depending on how you plan on using it. If you are travelling and don't want to carry cash, a credit card is very useful however if you are just looking for a credit card as a supplement for being short on cash, I would advise against it as they can have high interest rates.

If you are savvy and avail of the 0% interest rates for a period of time to get you to sign up, after the specified time period is up, you can shop around to look for another good interest rate.
