American Idol 2007 which was the sixth season of the show was won by singer-songwriter Jordin Sparks. She released her self-titled album following her victory of American Idol.

The album went platinum in the United States of America and sold over 2 Million Copies worldwide.

She won and American Music Award in 2008 and received her first Grammy nomination in 2009, all of this arising from the success of her debut album.
